The testing of electrical installation systems are a legal requirement, and can be confusing. It is important to understand what and why this type of testing is and why it is required?
The fixed wire test is also referred to as periodic testing. It is an important inspection of your properties wiring structure. The test highlights any potential problems you may not be aware of.
Tests take place not only to meet the legal requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations Act 1989.
Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition as amended), it also provides you with evidence that your electrical hard wiring system is safe.
This type of test should only ever be carried out by fully trained, qualified staff.
Increasingly, industrial and commercial insurers are insisting that inspection and testing be carried out on a regular basis.

OUR! 3 Easy Steps to Receive a Satisfactory Report
Upon completion of the fixed wire test and in order to receive your EIRC, you will be provided with the following information:
- Periodic inspection certificate
- Pre consultation to discuss requirements
- Detailed circuit assessment sheets
- Survey report (general site faults)
- Survey report (specific faults, locations & suggested solutions relating to distribution boards and circuits)
- Laminated "self-adhesive" circuit assessment sheets (if required)
- Dangerous conditions report forms (copy handed to a site representative at time of test)

Test results are entered directly onto our software on site by our engineers. The programmes used have been written by our in house IT department and are unique to CSE..

TEST
An experienced and qualified electrician will conduct a visual and live inspection upon each circuit. All findings will be recorded.
REPORT
2 working days after inspection you will receive your EICR (report) list any faults which will require correcting.

CSE will automatically create you a quotation for any corrective works, meaning you can book in immediately.
